Can I bring in my own drinks?

Yes, this can be arranged. We have rules around bringing in your own alcohol ‘BYO’ and we can advise you on these. We are happy to discuss this option for your event.

How far in advance do I need to book My event at A’Fare?

Generally the sooner you book the better, but we can work with you on the dates you have in mind and mostly even last minute events can be handled with ease.

Generally the sooner we get notice the better, but we can work with you on the dates you have in mind and even last minute events can usually be handled with ease.

Do I have to hire glassware, tables and chairs too?

No you don’t need to hire these items. A’Fare is fully-equipped with tables, chairs, cutlery, glassware and more. All this is fully inclusive as part of any venue hire, making it an affordable wedding or function venue. We specialise in making your event planning easier. Is there a minimum number for catering?

Depending on the menu selected and the season, we do have some minimum requirements. We can cater for well above 1000. We can generally cater for any number of people and accept food choice and special requirement requests. Discuss your needs with us and we can help.

We have to think about dietary requirements – can you help?

We cater for gluten-free, coeliac, paleo, primal, dairy-free, nut-free and a range of other dietary requirements. We are accustomed to adapting and creating tempting dishes for those who have food intolerances or allergies. We can accommodate the fussy too!

Can we hold it at your venue?

Yes, our venue is available for your conference, wedding or function, and is a great option for those wanting an event managed by professionals within a specific budget.

How far will you travel for catering?

Depending on numbers we will travel anywhere in Northland.

What does the menu include?

We work with you to match your ideas and budget to any menu. We love working with our clients to cater for their personal needs. We will supply menu ideas and work through them with you to find the perfect fit for your event.

Can we run a bar tab or cash bar?

Yes, you can run a bar tab or cash bar. We’re happy to arrange whatever suits your needs.

What days are you available?

Our venue is available seven days a week, and we can also cater off-site seven days a week. Call us to discuss dates and any ideas you may have for your event.

Can we source specific wines or foods for events?

Yes, we can. If you would like specific wines from a particular region in New Zealand for your event, we will get them for you. If you would like a specific meal served to your guests, we can organise that for you.

We would definitely like to return again next year, though our numbers may increase once word gets out.:)
